Daddy Cool new mammootty film

Daddy Cool featuring Mammootty marks the debut of director Ashiq Abu. The story revolves around the bond of a father and his only son who is very passionate about cricket.

Indrajith and Kalabhavan Mani are cast in in important roles. The boy who plays the role of the son is yet to be decided. The producer is Alwin Antony and Samir Tahir handles the camera.

Anil Panachooran-Biji Lal team has been roped in for the songs and shooting will start in December. Mammootty plays the character of Antony Simon, a Crime Branch officer.

Vinayan targeted next as Mammotty

Ever since problems started fuming in MACTA, director Vinayan has become the avid criticizer of superstars. After making a lot of mistimed references against Mohanlal, he has now turned towards the other superstar of Malayalam films, Mammootty.

The director alleges that though Mammootty is a leftist, he is planning to destroy the trade unions of the film field. Vinayan has charged Mammootty for striking a deal with a corporate giant that has recently forayed into media business.

The rebel director also opines that many popular film personalities are planning to quit the field due to the hegemonic attitudes of stars including Mammootty. Vinayan has sent the copy of his petitions to the Chief Minister, Cultural Affairs minister, Labor Minister and Labour Commissioner of the state to intervene into the situation.

Gopika wish to return

One of the heartthrobs of Mollywood viewers, Gopika who left the tinsel town after her marriage, was in Kerala last week to receive the best actress awards in a channel function last week.

The actress was named for the award for one of the last movies that she acted before her marriage 'Veruthe Oru Bharya', which went on to become the biggest success of her career.

The actress while speaking to media at her home in Ollur made it clear that she don't have any idea to call it a day from cinema. She also made it clear that she is ready to take up new projects, if she can complete her portions in the movie in 15-20 days.

Gopika who is settled at Ireland with her husband Ajilesh, is still keeping a good watch over the developments of the Mollywood industry.
